To reflect the changes that has taken place in the last quarter of century?
I mean the original blue with 5 sided white star represented a vission of Greater Somali Republic and a mission of uniting all somali inhabited territories under one national government. However the current situation, political vissions and aspiration has shifted in that it is no longer a goal to unite the somali inhabited lands and even any talk of it by the elite or somali leader and politicians is not even imaginable and constitution that is going to be adopted will not reflect what the flag represented a national unity government but a federal republic with autonomous regional states.
Also it is worth to point that many other countries around the world has changed flags once their nations has gone through dramatic changes as a result of conflicts or revelutions.

Please share your thoughts!

This is stupid, the blue flag is an ethnic flag not a national flag, it represents the 5 regions, even Djibouti has the star in it's flag, the original intended reason was the union of all the Somali region as depicted, unfortunately that hasn't happened, but as long as the people have that spirit in Koonfur it will remain so!

I have seen the flag proudly hoisted in Djibouti, NFD and Ogaden, the only place it's not is that bermuda triangle of Habro's up north and they are a minority in the grand scheme of things anyway.

If we were minority among Somalis then surely you would be able to hurt our interests other than crying on the internet about Dahabshiil since your clan only targets minorities..

Nevertheless, the real minority is your Hutu clan without the incorporated non Hutu clans such as Xawaadle, Degodiya, Gaaljecel, Sheikhaal etc.

Zoomalia should've been changed its flag they are just indenial like the former yugoslavia(serbia).
