Somalia Army Battles Al-Shabaab West of Capital; Dozens Killed

Al-Shabaab militants attacked a Somali army base west of the capital, leading to clashes in which a resident and the al-Qaeda-linked group said dozens of people were killed.
Islamist fighters stormed the camp in Lanta Buro town, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Mogadishu, in violence that involved heavy machine-gun fire, resident Ahmed Aden said by phone. He said he’d counted dozens of bodies around the base. Radio Andalus, a broadcaster that supports the insurgents, said al-Shabaab had killed at least 73 government soldiers.
Isse Ali, a Somali army officer, said by phone that troops quickly repulsed the raid. He said al-Shabaab had suffered heavy losses, declining to comment on any casualties on his own side.
Al-Shabaab has been waging an insurgency in Somalia since 2006. The Somali army receives support from the African Union Mission in Somalia, or Amisom, which includes Ugandan, Kenyan, Ethiopian and Djiboutian troops. Those forces recaptured Lanta Buro, which the Islamist militants has been using as a training base, in 2012.

Alshabaab attacked Laanta Buuro and they got defeated by 10 Abgaal and Murusade Soilders, only one soldier was injured the rest are safe.

Well, I know this is not for me but... all the properties Hawiyes looted and the fact that they chased people from Somalia.
What Hawiye did and continue to do in Somalia is unbelievable and beyond comprehension. They killed thousands of innocent people. Looting, stealing, raping, killing innocent people. They participated a lot in destroying our nation. I don't hold no grudge, but they should seek forgiveness before it's too late as well as give back the stolen properties etc.

About the mansions\ properties, they need to give it back to the owners. All of this is really shameful.

What I meant was, Hawiyes should seek forgivness from the people they wronged and we should forgive them for the crimes they committed against innocent people and still do. They, (among others too) without doubt have caused many of the problems in Somalia. Remember the USC? They killed innocent people, let many people starve to death, chased them away from Somalia, looted properties and occupied their mansions even till this day. They turned Somalia, the pearl of the indian ocean, to a zoo overnight.
