Voter Registration Postponed Due to Drought

Post by KyrieJama »

In a joint session; the Electoral Commission, Parliament and Executive will postpone the VR tomorrow morning due to the worsening of the drought.

The VR will resume after Ramadan prolly sometime in July.

The main priority will be responding to the drought, as requested by the public.

The government didn't plan for a natural disaster of this magnitude, it's warranted if it does.

Can you imagine after 10 days the Gabiley and Saaxil couldn't reach 20 k of registered voters!

People are suffering, and refuse to register. The elections will be compromised if continued in this manner.

Election is waste of time and resources. I am glad the public agree and refused to entertain few kids with white boxes while their people suffer.

These so called politicians have no morals what so ever.

I advise people to fire at anyone carrying anything other than water and food.

What a waste of time and money.

Eastern Sanaag and Northern Sool has been affected by droughts as well.

The Togdheer and Sool Hawd areas have gotten rain and hundreds of nomadic families from all over SL and parts of PL have moved there.
