Taking the Bus is humbling

Post by Sumubaridi »

I took the trains and Buses to work today. It was really humbling. You do not know what is going own in your town until you take the bus. That is where you meet the poor and struggling people. It was 6Am-7AM and all I saw was people who were going to work. It reminding me of Kenya where everyone wakes up in the morning and start moving to go look for Risq. Maasha allah. It brought me to the reality of America and how lucky and spoilt I was. No one was happy and laughing. Everyone looked sad and defeated.

The 2,500 life savings you have should be enough to humble you alone.

abaayo,

$2500 is a lot of money if you worked for it. I read that, a Somali girl who lives in UK is likely to get married to a man who live on welfare. Nimanka Cayrta qaato UK Mala guursadaa? America waa ceeb heblaayo waxay shukaansataah nin Cayr Qaato :D the reason is that, you qualify for welfare for only these reason.

so when you tell people waxaa iguursanaayo nin cayr qaato, they will ask you is he physicly or mentally handicapped. :D
-Disability -Mentaly, physically or emotionally. Waxaan maqlay hada HIV ayaa lugu daray.
-Old Age- Markaa gaarto 67.
-Health reason like you become permanently unfit for work and its certified by a Doctor.

I take public transport all the time because it's the best way to get around in LDN. Some people look happy and some don't. Tbh though, most Londoners are stressed /depressed anyway but I guess there will be more of them on public transport because there will be more poor people.

Sometimes taking public transport is fun because something funny or random happens. I remember I was on a bus where there was a preacher preaching to all the passengers.

Nightbuses can be interesting too . Can't wait for the night tube .

There's also a lot of homeless people who take the bus all day/ night because it's warm. No one can say anything to them because they paid to get on the bus. It's sad but welcome to London. Blame Dave the nacas.

I do miss my car though but I don't have enough income to run one. It was shite but cos it was my first car, I developed an attachment to it. I thought I was the shiz when I first got it

Last time I took a bus was like 4 yrs ago when during this journey came one big huge fat black woman sat on me, basically one of her cheeks covered the empty seat next to mine while the other cheek entirely sat on me and suffecating me with her huge bare shoulders and worst it was summer time, I couldnot get rid of the stench from her arm for days and that is when I decided never again I will use buses.

I'm not even that big but walahi I struggle to not cross into the other seat because of my ass and thighs as that is where I am the biggest. Going down the bus aisles as well without my bottom hitting someone is a struggle plus trying to position my ass on tube seats. People always look worried when I am trying to sit down. I'm forever saying sorry. It's embarassing. They need to make wider seats. At least I don't stink. :?
