There is no such thing as tribal loyalty, either the guy is loyal to a party/cause (HSM, Omar Abdi Rashid, Sh Shariif etc) or he is someone that works for his own self interest to fill his pockets (but pretends he is there for the tribe like faroole, Gaas), there is no third option.

There was a debate about this before, a 20.000 small town like Garowe, just 2 truck bombs would completely devastate it and a few technicals would overrun the place, al-shabab will take a few hours to capture it all in a major assault, just like they did in Marca due to how small it is.

I wasn't a fan of the old shariif, but he invited us as a clan 2014, he has matured a lot, even admits he was a fish out of water forced into this post, he is way too honest but has that natural leadership in him, knows were he gone wrong e.g. (speech in Qatar, trying to appease the wrong people)
