Nothing is more charitable than donating your organs after you die. I mean you give someone a chance to live or live a better life. One of my neighbor donated his eyes after this death and now a young woman who received it can now see.
Is there anything not permissible about donating your organs?

Re: Why Don't More Muslims Do Organ Donation?
depends who you ask and there are disagreements. there are 2 cases, first to donate while you a life, such giving kidney and blood donation (things wouldn't cause you danger in your life, best your knowledge)\
second case, to request while you a life, to donate in case your death.
opinion of is halal with conditions:
there are different opinion too; some say; the living more important than dead, so it's allowed to use their organ to save a life. but prefer not to do!!
the other opinion, you cannot give, cause you die you own nothing and your family have the right ever thing you own, such your money, property and choose where to be buried..etc. so your family have the right to decide if they want donate.
there are opinion ; it's all your intentions, if you want to help another living, even if you want to donate for research purposes, such if your disease not known and doctors/scientists want to use your body or part of it as research.
*** there is opinion say is haraam, refusing all together and say, you do not own your body and you cannot give something you do not own. *****
ps; I am a donor.
