Have you ever come across why there are no Libyan refugees?

Libya have been plagued by wars and corruptions in the last 6 years yet there was never any mentions of any refugees. You could even compare Libya with Somalia because they faced attacks from outsiders and they have many warlord groups fighting in the name of tribalism. Tens of thousands have been killed.

In a parallel universe, refugees and migrants from the sub saharan Africa and Syria/Afghanistan would travel to a war torn Libya to reach the shores while Libyans would rather stay than fleeing even knowing that they have the opportunity to open a life/shelter in another country.

Whereas, in many muslim majority or others who face wars, you will always find more than 1 million refugees moving to neighboring countries or overseas.

Libya is different bc it's a tribal country like somalia so the only refugees were gaddafi loyalists

There were two political groups in libya; the pre-revolution regime wich the royal family hails from...this family has ruled Libya from benghazi the old capital since the ottoman empire

Gadafi has changed the capital to Tripoli his HQs but the govts seat was in sirte his tribal town so all the Arab and African summit's used to be held in sirte and no one was visiting tripoli

The locals of Tripoli though getting jobs and having nice life were jealous of gaddafi tribe so they showed their true colors after the uprising by becoming against gaddafi!


Gadafa has lost the power first in benghazi, his historical opponents so there were no refugees

He had partly support in fezzan from the african and tuareg tribes while the arabs were against him

So all these refugees r gaddafi loyalists and most of them have moved their neighbouring Tunisia

Another thing is that libyans get visas easily as students, political refugees since every country is interesting their oil

Benghazians and ex poor people have become f-king rich by trading the oil without law and order

Now Libya is divided into three regions and some of them r stable...each has its own military aircrafts!

Evrybody is african in Fezzan .You might wanna call them by their names , Toubou and Tuareg or by their colour , the blacks and the reds

I remember head of the libyan security mohamed al sudani he was from fezzan. He fought until he was captured. And some desert tribe I can't remember who sheltered sayf al islam...he wasnt humilated like his father bc of this tribe.

The way the West has dealt with Qadafi would turn any of his tribesmen into Isis , I don't blame them , I would hate America , the brits the French eveybody as well wallahi. Hopefully they work their problems out .

doesn't Libya still have one of the highest GDP per capita in Africa?? maybe most people have valuable things in the country.

also remember Somalia in the late 90s didn't have many refugees too so if Libya continues getting Somalia-fied and Afghanistan-fied ... expect more refugees.

Libya is still livable and has always been better off than Somalia, pre or post Gaddafi.
