Open letter to the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry

Post by ramzy2277 »

Somaliland has rightly decided in 1991 to pursue its interest and abandon expansionist theory of Soomaaliwayn (greater Somali Republic).

Dear Minister,

We, the undersigned citizens of the Republic of Somaliland, are dismayed by defamatory and ill-informed remarks issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published in your official websiteon 6th April 2016. The statement was released after Egyptian delegation led by your Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs visited in Somaliland and received warm welcome. In the statement you downgraded Somaliland’s status, ignored realities on the ground and proved your ill-intentions in destabilizing the region of the Horn of Africa for your short-sighted interest based on greedy objectives of solely benefiting the Nile River waters at the expense of the upstream states.

The Somalis are large ethnic people scattered in the Horn of African countries of Somaliland, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia. The Somali people have long ago sadly learnt Egypt’s trick in using Somali inspirations of unity to protect its self-serving interest in the Nile River not to mention Egyptianobsession in recreating a militaristic, unitary Somali state used as a pressure point to prevent Ethiopia from implementing its Nile dam projects.

Somaliland has rightly decided in 1991 to pursue its interest and abandon expansionist theory of Soomaaliwayn (greater Somali Republic). The Somalilanders are committed in living peacefully with their neighbours. We vehemently support fair share of natural resources and peaceful conflict resolution based on the international law and the right to development of all peoples.

You asserted in your announcement that your delegation met leaders of Somaliland “region” and that you “support Somali people’s choices and the Federal Government of Somalia”.

The Republic of Somaliland gained independence from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on 26th June 1960 and was known as the Somaliland Protectorate. Somaliland voluntarily joined Somalia on 1st July 1960 so as to form the Somali Republic. The union failed party due to proxy wars fought on your behalf which led Somali Republic into the collapse and chaos. Somaliland then regained its independence by the Declaration of the Conference of the Somaliland communities held in Burao between 27th April 1991 and 15th May 1991.

Somaliland is a sovereign country with democratically elected president and Parliament. We have a constitution approved by the people of Somaliland on 97% in a referendum observed and praised by the international community. Our constitution upholds fundamental human rights and freedoms and we always have sympathy for victims of human rights violations wherever it happens to be including Egypt.

Somalia citizens have never made a choice to form a Federal Government of Somalia. The current government based in Mogadishu was formed under the auspice and protection of foreign troops. It does not have a mandate from Somali people, and it cannot have.

We urge you to respect the wish of the People of Somaliland and instead embark peaceful engagement with the Horn of African countries by halting destabilization and divisive policies. You shall realize that in 21st century Somalis will not die for your cause.

They say the definition of insanity is pursuing the same operation over and over again expecting another result.

My God for 25 years have these idiot intellectuals and politicians been writing such nonsense letters, went on begging tours. The most infamous being Egals supposed shalom letter to Israel.
Somalilanders need to learn basic diplomacy and real politics, there will be no recognition unless Somaliland and Somalia sort it out internally FIRST. There is no need for anymore of these stupid, we are different, etc letters

For the next 100 years, it will be the same, it's so embarrassing reading all these calaacal, after 26 years even a deeply impoverished toothless puntland with 1/30 of the budget has more political acumen and achieved more in terms of politics then the secessionist.

They virtually got all their roads paid for by NGO's with the equipments provided, more NGO offices per square miles outside of Mogadishu, while you had to go on a serious fund raising campaigns, the person writing the letter is so thick, he doesn't even realize how awful counter-productive that letter is, it's basically saying "I am Ethiopia's Bitch"

It's always better to be debt free and do your own business instead of selling your national assets to Turks.
Also, NGO's recently banned your folks from working in thier establishment. I figured because of all that bombings.

Don't let general Gabre hear you anti Ethiopian sentiments or else ...

That was proven to be fake many times over.
Do not fall for the propaganda propagated by our enemies.

As for the topic ... Meh.

If somebody thinks this will progress the cause of recognition
all the more power to them.

Personally I don't think it will work ...

Recognition will come when it comes. In the meantime :dj:

Kani wuu inagu khafiifay
May it be a 1000 years you son of a Bantu.

We are building a nation. This will take a long time, over many generations I suspect. Being self-reliant
is a step in that direction.

We therefore do not care about PL, the SFG and the "IC"
nor the multitudes of NGOs running around Xamar and Garowe.

You can have it all as far as we are concerned.

Give me a single example aside from Scotland and Britain were two nations sat together to negotiate union or independence part of the mother country.
Eritrea vs Ethiopia,Sudan VS South Sudan,Bosnia-Kosovo vs Former Yugoslavia...etc. all these nations got their problems sorted out by the interventions of the international community.

what kind of stupid person would again trust wanlweyen ,if the talk between SLND and Somalia proved anything,it only showed that those konforians are nothing but back stabbers, they literally walked back on every agreement they made with the SLND delegation in Turkey and you are naive enough to beg your ictiraf from them. :snoop:

Those young patriotic Somalilanders who wrote that open letter represent the civic community and they done to show to the masari that the so called SFG don't represent the will of Somali people as the masri foreign office claimed,in fact the only region in what was called Somali republic that have a fully represented government that came on the people's choice is Somaliland, and they should be dealt as such, but apparently a cuqdad ridden with deep scars from the habros internal wars wont miss a chance to spew his venom and bring mooryan fabricated lies to score cheap point.

The late Somaliland President Mohamed Ibrahim Cigal ,AUN, NEVER made such a letter, infact he always refuted that lie and blamed Somalilanders in the arabic countries for not following up his letters to the arab states.

I know this will be wasted on you,but I will seek the public's good

This is a speech the late president Cigaal,AUN made it in front of the Guurti and the Parliament where he spoken about his resignation among other things,he also talked about that lie where USC and their tails made that false letter.....watch from 39:00 .

PL achieved what they achieved because they outsmarted your Hutu low IQ mooryans who kept fighting among themselves for 2 decades until your ex-sponsor UN intervened and sent you a messiah,Nicholas Kay to lead your clueless hutu to the promised land.

The open letter's main idea was to clear the confusion those arabs have about the myth called federal somali government that was created in nairobi, and never was selected by the Somali people as a mean of governance and the only region that have a one man one vote elected parliament and government is republic of Somaliland.

and btw, when will you stop brining half truth and inject it with your rubbish argument....or is it as Hawdian has diagnosed you whenever you are out of your chill bills you try to create a fantasy ..!!.

That petition was rejected because the person who created it didn't follow the petiton policy by giving his full name and address, hence it was rejected...if you scroll down you would definitely see the explanation yaa ximaar.

Ramzy

Anyone reading it and compare mine against yours will see it's totally different. I didn't know you got several of them rejected due to your gross desperation, so I did a bit of digging, total of 4 of these petitions have been rejected, with an active running which I'll post below

Your so pathetic that you can't even get it above 1000, the petition below pretty much epitomizes your lack of political acumen, foresight, direction or even IQ, you can't even organize a few thousand people to sign the petition so that it can be debated in parliament

That's the level incompetence and inadequacies you have been swimming in the best part of 26 years, I am telling you the bitter truth, you can't lie to me because I have been on the ground far more then you. P/land is a nobody, if she was someone, she wouldn't be wailing everyday, what you hear are her death cries.

Look I am no enemy to you whatsoever, if I was president I would recognise you in a heart beat and place the borders at Nugaal so you can take your Jewish Bermuda triangle brethren with you into that abyss, my only grievances is your sponsoring and exporting of terrorists to Koonfur that's it, nothing more or less.

Actually, if xamar were strong they would have at least contain the bombing. If you can't secure
a mere city for 26 years that says a lot about the incompetence of your elite when compared to the average diaspora.

And quite the shit, Bermuda is an area in Xamar where HG got karbashed everytime they tryed to spread Moryanimo, it fits you perfectly.

Only 2 petitions were rejected, one for violating the petition standard and not providing full name and the other was rejected because there was an active petition on the same subject, all others were archived.

What's the bipolar guy saying?

How come he is having an early panic attack? According to my observation he suffers from major nervous break downs from Friday to Sunday.

It is unusual for him to run out off medics on Tuesday/Wednesday.

It may have been triggered by my HG trolling topic, which I had fun with and even FarhanYare saw the humor side of things.

Ignore the bipolar.

For a hundred years ago it a german chanchellor said countries was born through iron and blood not diplomacy. Bismark, birth of Germany.

Sadly we live in the modern era where this no longer is the case because of centralised corruption (UN),
because of the same organization we are linked to a mental handicap nation called Somalia which is like having a drugaddict be ur accountant, or a cleptomaniac be your treasurer, or simply a mad man being your "wali" while you are the sane one.

Regardless all those nations you mentioned had it sorted out between them first, that was the case of Soudan and South Sudan most recently.

I'm so sick and tired of all these bufoon calolweyn politicians and naive socalled intellectuals setting our agenda.

We have every chance to take control and set the agenda for Somalia as whole, even taking the capital to Hargeisa and from here at diplomatic gunpoint basically make the konfurians sign a MoU that we will split, instead our stupid politicians go on international begging tours years after years getting whatever little they are given from diasporas, ngos, low level foreign gov officials and come home to celebrate.

Unless Somaliland becomes recognised we will have very limited resources to transform our nation in the same path as other small nations such as Singapore, Taiwan, etc our asian role models.

But I would rather believe we would become another South Sudan in the making because as one indvidivual put it, we live in tha habromacy not a real democracy and the international community knows it, there is no coincidence the most ardent and fanatic SL individuals on this forum thoughout the years have been Habar Awal members, simply because ur clan has usurped the most with everything from the fake SL currency to monopolizing state assets such as the Berbera port, nobody is being fooled by this nonsense anymore, wake up and smell the coffee, at the current state of Somaliland being a oligarchic habromacy not a single IC member will take the chance to help such a monster become recognised.
