The vicious Onslaught On Prof Samater "18 May doesn't exist" comments
For these of you that don't know there is a major uproar going on about Prof Samater for his words that 18th May doesn't exist but only 26th June, the Isaaq's have gone on a absolute rampage against him everywhere, on tabloids, TV and all articles comment section with the video on Youtube being the worst.
I don't usually agree with the professor, but he is right on the 18th may crap, it's terrible for Somaliland, it actually looks bad to celebrate the day you supposedly killed other Somali's as much as I despised the Kacaan troops, how you going to sell such garbage to the IC ? the argument is so weak because he butchered several other tribes as well.
I cannot believe what this furore is all about, do you really expect the professor to celebrate the day those very same militia's executed 800 of his people using Ethiopian troops?
Before the Oromo group gang up on me, I support the secession so take it easy, it benefits us greatly, I want to hear the Isaaq's point of view on his comments, let's keep this qabyaalad free.

Lets be honest with each other,18 may is just isaaq celebrations even within the isaaq, now adays it is called sii-bakhti DAY and has nothing to do with Somaliland just like the Government of Somalia is hawiye gov even though we have daarood prime minister and we fund the gov with banadir taxes and taxpayers.

The Bantu-protected scum strikes again. This time the Hutu scum wants to spark hatred between
the Gadabuursi and the Isaaq.
There has been no media storm
The Prof can say whatever the hell he wants (although I would vehemently disagree with him).
At the end of the day he is one of our own and we have to share a country.

The prof is entitle to his opinion as a member of SL community.
We have to openly discuss any grienance and any fresh ideas.
We have all the venues readily available.
May 18 is the resurrection of SL like Easter Sunday while June 26th is the birth of the nation hence like Christmas Day.
In Somali analogy wa dharaarti suryaadu galay laga sare ee dib loo saxay using blood and precious lives.
So the Prof is free to celebrate the birthday but not the resurrection or he can combine the two like a faithful.
Either way it's a choice.
The difference between Hutu is they commomerate KFD day or AMISOM while victorious Isaac remember their fathers.

Hutu long forgot Aideed and the likes because they were gangs/mooryaan and not worthy of a victory day.
When they stop bowing for dead Bantus, we may consider their views until then they should watch who is fathering the future Hutu kids.
SNM will be remembered and victors write history.

Meanwhile your elders are in Hargeisa making same tribute to May 18 and I quote "Jamhuuriyada Somaliland" Mr WaxXaade.
Now go find that daddy in Kampala. I hear Find.com is an excellent app.

18 may is the Eid al fitri, 26 June is Eid al ad-ha. One can do shopping for the first or Sacrifice his rum for the later. Both days are very important for the Somaliland community.

Why doesnt hutu-wiye commemorate the USC organisation how Somalilanders commemorate the galiant SNM?

BigBreak
It's called class and gobonimo, I will never commemorate the killing of other Somali's, to us it's a dark day of history something I rather had not happened and wished could have been avoided, were as you guys sing, ululate and wail in lamentation as though you fought of vicious colonialist.
That's why 18th is more significant to you then 26th of June when the British left, I would be utterly ashamed by this and not show my face with such legacy.
