How did Somalis embrace the gang culture so easily?

As I said before, I usually feel ashamed and embarrass when I am with friends and a horde of loudmouthing Somali hoodrats/2pac wannabes are nearby behaving all uncivilized because of my association with them. Even with my civilized manners/traits/behavior and dressing as a normal person, I believe my friends would think I am like them because of our nationality.

This is the problem with Somalis especially the Hawiye. They react quickly, cause problems, look suspicious when a cadaan shows up and even gang people up for the laugh. Many people dislike us and we do not have good reputation because of this. Not other reason but the gang problems which leads to crimes in high numbers thereby creating anti-Somali sentiment among cadaans. This even create more harm for Somalis in general.

We are not African Americans for fuck sake. How did we embrace their gang culture so easily? I wish the Western government would deport all of the gang-obsessed/hoodrat Somalis back to Xamar because they contribute nothing in the West but creating more anti-Somali sentiment.

Gangs are tribes , not bound by blood but by consent , therefore it is very easy for the unrefined tribesmen to fall into into it .

My older sister used to hang out with the wrong crew back then so after finding out through gossip and someone recording videos, my mother and grandmother locked themselves in a room with her and tagged teamed on her on the belt and whooped the living shit out of her for 1 hour straight shouting "hoogto waad na ceebeyse" countless times. maskiinta I still remember her cabaad

that evening everyone was called from the grandfathers to even the gossip birds. They gave her good advice and a detailed map out of that life after they assigned people to look at her every move. My father also straight up told her that he will send a hit squad on her if she was caught again doing that bullshit. Whoever said Somalis don't have honor killings has lied. It's real in Africa.

I don't know about other scenarios but this worked extremely well. almost 9 years later, she's doing really well for herself supporting the entire extended family. Alxamdllah. I wonder if they didn't do this to her what would have happened? She had complete influence over us back then since she is the curad so we would've probably all become shit now.
