My question is do you get the same ajar from raising a child without a mother as one without a father.. I want to adopt one child preferably a girl and put her through school..

yes, they are both orphan but traditionally orphan is one without father. since fathers used to provide the most and give protection. your ajir on God. they are orphan and on top of that they are poor. double ajir I would say.
