Adoption & Hijab.
i just dont understand why is hijaab necessary if someone adopts a baby. the baby should be just like their children. this makes the child feel like an outsider and also discourages others to adopt.

adopted kids are not muhram to their adopted parents. lets say you adopted a baby boy, when he hits puberty, you are obligated to wear hijab when around him.Tuushi wrote:What are u talking about?Who was forced to wear hijab for adoption?

Do you have the scholarly proof and evidence that this is the case?CigaalSHiiDaaDCFC wrote:adopted kids are not muhram to their adopted parents. lets say you adopted a baby boy, when he hits puberty, you are obligated to wear hijab when around him.Tuushi wrote:What are u talking about?Who was forced to wear hijab for adoption?
I know that adoptive parents are not allowed to give the adopted children their family name. But what if the adopted son suckled from the adoptive mother? This will actually make him like one of her own biological children.
Also if you adopted a daughter and married her to your own biological son, then the adoptive father is like her father. Just like how a daughter in law does not need to wear hijab around her father in law.

Chelsea, if you adopt a baby & future wifey agrees to become a wet-nurse then that solves the hijab issue.
I always wanted to adopt too, both older and younger children so this has crosseed my mind. It would be harder but I guess there will be more reward inshAllah.

yeah, if the baby is breast-fed by the adoptive mother then he/she becomes muhram to the family.Gaashaanle1000 wrote:Do you have the scholarly proof and evidence that this is the case?CigaalSHiiDaaDCFC wrote:adopted kids are not muhram to their adopted parents. lets say you adopted a baby boy, when he hits puberty, you are obligated to wear hijab when around him.Tuushi wrote:What are u talking about?Who was forced to wear hijab for adoption?

if the child is older than 8 years is understandable but a baby? anyways allah knows best. also i wouldnt like my bio-children and adopted to marry each other. specially if they grow up together
