After the horrific garissa university attack the kenyan government replaced the head of security for the entire north eastern region and put a somali incharge.
They gave the job to Mohamud Saleh who is credited with ending the shifta war during his reign as provinsal commisioner of NFD in the late 90s.
Since his appointment in mid 2015 he has dismantled almost all alshabaab cells in garissa and the number of terror attacks has fallen by over 90% in one year alone.
Thank you Saleh!
