The common negative trait Somalis have when playing football

I have played football with Somalis for a long time and have joined their club for one season. This is from my experience what they are like when playing both indoors and outside.

They don't support each other, they blame each other when one makes mistakes. They suck in teamwork, talk too loud in the middle of the game where opponents cant tell whether they are talking or arguing, fights, dirty tactics, arguments, denying goals, wasting time etc are like unavoidable.

There are also dodgy activities in their club where they put non-registered players on the registered players to fool the state officials which means that registered player who pays money for the club and bust his ass for 3x weekly training is out from the match.

When I played one season in their club, I dont get much support. I was sent off by the coach in the first 15 minutes when I made one mistake which was losing the ball which resulted into another team scoring a goal (very common for everyone). Who does that? All Eritreans usually leave after a season finish but I have my reasons.

When I play with the white team, they are much better and supportive. They are either quiet or supportive when you make mistakes. They have disciplines. When we were in the middle of the game against the Somali dominated team in a senior futsal tournament, we were beating them 3 - 0, they were out of control against each other. The result ended up in 8 - 2.

Have anyone experience this or is it just in where I live?

Somalis are warrior people and support was considered such negative thing. Only the weak needed support. Every Somali was born republican and free to fetch his own bread and take his place/ranks amongst the Somali society. There is no nurturing, supporting or holding hand.

Somalis as young as 5 learn to be their own man.

Because we lived like that for centuries, it is hard not to bring that into the field.

Besides while you admire whites and their 'supportive' thing----Somalis receive them as fake or rather gay.

In the end as you know Somalis run the biggest tournament here and even after it split into two---still each of these two tournaments are bigger than Eritrean and Ethiopian combined tournaments.

Eritreans don't really get their own things and always pick up the breadcrumbs after the Somalis.

They are good people but they are not business acumen or go getter like the Somalis.

No need to be white, be yourself and be ruthless African warrior.

Somalis who play soccer can be best described, in my view, as "too many Indian chiefs but not enough Indians to rule". Everyone is making calls and decisions. They should listen the the captain and the coach.

But I think the comparison to whites is way off the mark. Here the refugee children are being compared to the children of the majority. There is a difference in motivation, support, and training, and realistic people wouldn't be making that assessment. Still, few Somalis are entering in other sports such as NBA and NFL, and that shows you, despite the difficulties, there are some of us who're beating the odds.

Do u know---how the English Aristocrats were in the 16th, 17th, and 18th century were??? Too much suuro! Every English man is his own king???? That is Somalis for u. Team work??? Forget it! Authority Respect ?? Forget it. Why do u think they like to do security and taxi driving???? OR business men! They are really amazingly stubborn headed. Do not like to follow rules. Who does anyway! :? :dj: :dj:

Ok her highness Basra, you figured out the ins and outs of the skinny people. What SNET would've been without Basra's contribution?

I used to love playing football untill I met somalis. Before the ball even reaches you, you have 10 other abdi's screaming your name. And the most annoying thing is, every crap player has an opinion and thinks they're the best. Just cause they watch football on tv in the maqaayada 24hrs they think they are jose mourinho.

The worst thing I have seen: group of Somali teenagers playing on a pitch;group of Somali middle aged and odayaal on another-a fight nearly breaks out between the elders. What do you expect from the kids?war dadkani waa imtixaan.
