Are older Somali Americans doing better than their counterparts elsewhere?

:notsure:

It certainly does seem that middle aged Somali Americans have better jobs (usually professionals) than say their counterparts in Europe and Canada. They appear to be way more mainstream in their host societies as well.

Do you guys agree?

If so, why do you think this is? Lack of ceer? Better opportunities in the US? Or are we comparing two different demographics...i.e Somali technocrats who were already in the US for further education when the war broke out Vs your average Somali who had high school education and fleeing the war.

You answered your own question. America has better opportunities and generally has a better society. Somalis in America >>> Other western Somalis in all generations. American Somalis have out performed everyone in the west.

America is truly blessed wlhi no wonder the old and young both succeed :wow:

Yes they are doing better, even our mid 20s are doing much better than 99% of EU and Canadian Somalis. The are more opportunities here if you want to take advantage. Walahi whenever i visit EU I feel bad for the youth there, even though they have free education, they don't seem to be getting anywhere with it. The ones that finish college, can't even get a decent job, and the freaking ceer isn't helping.

We are living the American Dream Alhamdulilah :blessed: $75k/yr, a house and a new car :blessed:

If you have Masters move to US brah,
