The attacks are similar to those reported in Cologne and other cities on New Year's Eve, when as many as 1,000 women were groped and robbed.

Police said three women reported being groped at the Schlossgrabenfest music festival in Darmstadt on Saturdaym saying they had been encircled then sexually harassed by a group of men.

By Tuesday, 15 more women had made complaints of being sexually assaulted in a similar manner at the festival.

Police have said the number of complaints could rise and are hunting for between two and three more men.

Many of the perpetrators were allegedly of North African or Arab descent and the assaults sparked a backlash against refugees throughout Europe.

Protests by anti-refugee groups swept the country following the New Year's Eve attacks and support for refugees in Europe fell.

^ I don't know who the cabids you're referring to here are but let me share what the perception I have regarding the people who regularly post anti arab topics on Somalinet is . As I said here before I have come and lived in Europe way before anybody knew what Somalia or Somalis are . So as a young kid in a boarding school I use to associate with the most unlikely group for a" man of colour ". The neo fascist / royalist/ Front National sympathizers back when the Front National was considered a stain on French politics .
These guys didn't like the arabs {the entire 6 years I was in that school , there's only been 2 morrocans} didn't like the other Africans , didn't like the jews { there's only been one guy who's had such a hard time he 's had to change school } didn't like the "gauchistes" or liberals in english . When I look back at it today , I can only attribute it to a combination of youthfulness , an independent/adventurous soul searching mind but whith a sense of immense embarrassement .
