From the Scottish Geographical Society 1885[/i]
The Mendelluke who formed an alliance with the Ogaden after the Adal wars and the wars left them scattered all over the Somali peninsula as far as Kenya.
Interesting to note is the subclans mentioned below Mendelluke:
These are as follows:
Reer Idoor
Reer Makador , whom probably were scattered from the Habar Makador of the Samaroon.
Reer Ahmed
Reer Makador which I have asked some Mandalug about currently living in Kenya. He told me The Makador has a sub-clan called Axmed Guray. Another evidence to the wars.

Very possible. I have heard several stories like this. It wasn't only Makador but many other Somali clans got separated because of the Adal wars and many other wars against Ethiopian colonial powers.
Horta, why is that Samaroon and Absame never clash even though they have long borders in Shiniile and Jigjiga areas?
Similarly, Beesha Ciise is like that. I never heard any quarrels between Absame and Ciise. Any thoughts on that?

interesting stuff keep em coming bro.
I think the main reason Ogaden got so big and gigantic was it absorbed many small clans that couldn't stand on their own after the Adal wars.
The Ogadein clan is the youngest of Absame yet has more than 10 times population than the rest. It's definitely got this big from absorbing clans scattered by the 1500s wars

The funniest thing is when a Murursade guy told me that they have an Ogaaden/Makaahiil sub clan within them called "Maxamed Gumcadle, basically a brother of the bigger Gumcadle sub clan

They are well-known and apparently the most famous Karanle/Murursade clans are from that sub clan. Can you imagine bringing back all the missing sub clans. Even our brothers in Boorame have an OG sub clan within them.

:
Weren't the makaahil once the OG house power? I heard it took all the OG clans to destroy the Makaahil sultanate when they had enough of they tyranny and Next was cabudwaq who were almost wiped out for excising too much power on their brothers.

Yes many clans bro without a doubt, but it's indeed interesting that the relation between Ciise + Gadabursi and Absame has been always peaceful.
Why I'm telling this about the Makador, especially the Ahmed Gurey subclan among the southern Makador of the Madalug.
The Reer Ahmed Gurey - Muse - Makador of the Southern Madalug
In Samaroon we have a subclan called Muse Makador too. The southern Mandalug have a subclan below Muse Makador called Ahmed Gurey which is definitely a link between the Ahmed Gurey mentioned in the Futuh Al Habasha: Conquest of Abyssinia belonging to the Habr Makadur of the Gadabursi, which make up roughly 90% of the clan today. They were the first to join the Imam in his conquest. Perhaps they named this reer after him.
They encamped above the valley of Harar. Which is known today as the harawwe/hararghe or harar valley of the Gadabursi.
They are mentioned in the book as Habr Makadi or Maqdi or Makida
Even page 82 of the "Futuh Al-Habasha: The Conquest of Abyssinia" is evident of that which mentions Husain Musa Bin 'Abd Allah Makida. This strongly fits into the Gadabursi genealogy as Husain Musa Bin 'Abd Allah "Makidor".
Husain Musa Bin 'Abd Allah Makidor, He is of the tribe of Habr Makadi(r)..
So yeah sxb. This is why it's especially important to note the southern Reer Ahmed Guray of Muse Makador.

there is also a Bahgeri subclan called Jabraahiil. who settle in the Ceerigaabo area among their Dhulbahante and Warsangeli cousins. Many of them moved to Ogaden and Qabridahare to be precise after the collapse of the Somali government
