Gacan Libaax breed (faras)

Post by AwRastaale »

Locals have started to restore horses in Ga'an Libah mountains.

He is the first born there since 1988.

His parents were brought from near Erigabo.

gacanlibaax breed?? are you kidding me?/ since when horses in small regions like gacanlibaax be classified as a different breed?? there are only tow breeds of horses in Somaliland , the western larger horse and the eastern pony. the former is bigger because of Ethiopian blood. anakaa fardaa kaa naqaane adigu nooga sheekee photoshop iyo siyaasada amxarada.

Old man relax.

Not sure why your blood pressure is always out off control.

I'm not talking about breed as species but breed as population restore--like the endangered animals breeded in international zoos.

Ma fahantay?

Man I hate those small light horses. Your typical Somali is over 6ft imagine riding
these tiny malnourished horses your feet is going to hit the floor, so disproportional.

Instead of that pony like breed we need Shire horse. Man I absolutely love that giant and majestic breed.
The largest horse breed ever so muscular and powerful yet obedient. I wanna import this breed from UK and use it in our farm.

Shire along with Friesian horse are my favorite breeds. Just look at this beauty.

Reer UK import some of this into SLAND. I am sure it will have a great demand in no time. The worlds record for largest horse
in history is held by this breed so does the heaviest pull (2 Shire horses pulled over 24 ton) feeding and maintenance might be costly though.

They are draft horses. They can adopt to the weather but will require a lot of feeding.

There is big difference between the two. One is work or labor horse and the other is war horse.

The best of horses are the Arabian war horses which have the speed.

I prefer those fit horses designed for speed and war.

loool Arabian horses , it reminds me of the move The Thirteen warriors when the arab guy comes with the big white Nords to slaughter the monsters , he is riding an Arabian horse and the white guys look at him and say 'only an arab comes to war riding a dog". the Europeans are the best breeders of horses and cattle , partially due to their environment . I have always wondered what the arab horse graze on that deadly desert??

^ Actually they are the same. Shire horses was used by England to carry men with full armor
to and inside the battle field. They have been the principle engine to pull wagon and anything on 4
wheels at that era. But after the industrial revolution and the introduction of fire arms and engines they almost ceased to exist.

WTF are you going to ride a Shire horse in Buuhoodle  They are suitable for pull and farming not war (no horse can stand against a tikniko) It can be very handy for those barefoot prideful Geljire in the HAWD who love their camels so much they don't wanna ride it.

Arabian horse is small, refined and too delicate. They are not practical but very smart and loyal.
Arab horses are harder to train too they are classified as hot blooded horses unlike the gentle giant Shire who is cold blooded and submissive.

Arabian horses aren't only the most popular horse breed in the word, but also one of the oldest. There is archaeological evidence placing Arabian horses in the Middle East nearly 5,000 years back. Today, the breed is one of the all-around most excellent breeds in the world due to their intelligence, grace and strength. Hailing from harsh desert conditions, they have large lung capacity and incredible endurance. Arabian horses are excellent for riding, work, competition and everything in between
