Many Somalis nowadays are believing in Waaq
I wish we knew more of Waaq, an interesting Monotheistic religion which helped Islam come peacefully to the nation unlike other Pagan societies.

North/Northeast Africans were on tawhid before many Arabs, Asians, and Europeans.
Not even wahid. I'm talking clear cut tawhid. Only Hebrews can match Hamites in this regard.
Yes, of course, Waaq is paganism and kufr, but it is unlike all of the prevailing pagan religious traditions.
Fun fact: Many Somalis were Zoroastrians, another monotheistic religion.

Waaqist used to bury young girls alive. It was also under the Waaq beliefs that the so-called female circumcision or FGM was constituted.
Waaqist used to eat the flesh of their opponent when they went to battle.
Waaq was pagan superstitions that had no holly book; it was basically collections of pagan customs, and some of the customs were heavily influenced by Zoroastrianism. The Nowruz that used to be celebrated in Somalia is a clear example of the connection between the two.
To the OP, learn Islam and stay clear from this pagan Waaq crap. Brotherly advice!

I used to think these atheists and extremely liberal Somalis would unfairly call you an Arab bootyclapper because they didn't like Arabs/Islam but OMG, you truly are an Arab booty clapping slave.Waaqist used to bury young girls alive.
Omg, now you are a Persian booty clapping slave.it was basically collections of pagan customs, and some of the customs were heavily influenced by Zoroastrianism. The Nowruz that used to be celebrated in Somalia is a clear example of the connection between the two.
Waaq and Zoroastrianism are different religions. Waaq has no Zoroastrian customs.
Re: Many Somalis nowadays are believing in Waaq
Ah! When the bogus and pagan Waaq is exposed, then the only option left is to start the name calling and insults. It is typical gaalo-qurunley tactic.
Where did the Nowruz came from if Zoroastrianism did not have an influence on the pagan Waaq?
"Shuushow bax, sharow guur, Neyruus" is what Somalis used to state during the Dabshid season. Where did that come from?
Do you know the roots of hubaal and baal that are common in the Somali language?
And the obsession with Arab Muslims
What an insecurity displayed by this dumbass and others like him. There is no Arab commenting here.

Just stay clear from Waaq and all pagan bleiefs and you're all set.
Remember as Muslims,we should remind ourselves the Al-Haqq. You can remind me, I can remind you. Nothing personal! That is what Muslims should do.

Re: Many Somalis nowadays are believing in Waaq
This blog, partly in afSomali, says Islam perverted Cushitic culture and upended the role of women in Somali society.
http://waaqreligion.blogspot.com/
I note that Aweys al Baraawe was still sending missionaries to the interior of Somalia after 1900, so the cultural differences depicted in the photos of Somali women in this blog can easily be quite recent, the Salafi version even more so. According to the blog, Somalis and Waaq go back 7,000 years.
Where is Barento when you need him?

Ah, the missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka Mormonism) to the rescue! In his effort to convert from Islam to Mormonism, Grant's late obsession has been the Gaboye, Yaxar, and Bantu Somali clans. He is now propagating the pagan beliefs of Waaq.
It is mind-boggling to see the amount of exaggerated and manufactured stories which are duped as religion. What is the holy book of this pagan Waaq 'religion' that you guys are running with and what language was written with?
The amount propaganda out there that is created to change Somali people's Islamic character is mind-boggling. But at the end of the day, you're all telling us your intentions. Somalis every where need to be very careful about this dangerous campaign.
