Do US application documents have an ethnic bracket for Somali people?

I usually tick 'Somali african' in most UK documents, if there isn't a Somali bracket? Simply tick other, write Somali.

We came to west recently, we're very small population-wise, therefore, we're going to be part of the existing classification. In America, AAs, Afro Carribeans, and Africans from Africa are all classified as blacks. And truth is, from skin color perspective, we're black people from Africa.

If even if you don't agree with it, for whatever reasons that you can come up, in this country, you're black. Get used to it!

US have race classified from White/Caucasian, Asian, African/Black, Hispanic/Latino and Hawaiian/Pacific and Indian/Alaska.

The Options are

1- White (Caucasian/European)
2- Black (any person of Decent from the ethnic groups in the African continent)
3- Asian
4- Hispanic
5- Native American
6- Pacific Islander

So that would make us Black because we are black and we decend from an ethnic group in Africa.

I don't know why we are having this discussion, it's like an English person saying why are we classified as white or Puertorican saying why are we Hispanic or Indian saying why are we Asians.
