Are you crazy? Baydhabo, Kismaayo, Gaalkacayo and more are probably all much bigger than Burco. I'm pretty sure even Boosaaso is bigger than Burco.

it is not fair to compare Hargeisa and Mogadishu. Xamar was a place where all Somalis invested their wealth whereas Hargeisa until recently were exclusive Isaaq city

Mogadishu and hargeisa are not Comparable , Mogadishu is way bigger than hargeisa. but yes Burao is proud candidate of the third place in what used to be the Somali republic the only other city that can challenge Burao to take this third position is Bosaso.
