Lots of Somali Weddings happening in my city

This summer, there is a considerable large number of Somali weddings happening. Each weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun), there is at least 2 weddings on each day. Today there are 3 weddings today and I have been invited to 2 of them. I have to toss a coin to decide which one to go to since they all happen between 2pm - 4pm.

Why are pple getting married all of a sudden at the same time in tdot? Is the same happening in your city?

Where in the world do Somalis get married at 2pm?

the practicing somali muslims in Toronto have their weddings after Duhr salat. pple starting arriving at 2pm and by 3:30pm the food is served. these weddings usually happen at banquet halls. men and women are separated. sometimes there will be a 2nd shift for women only after 4pm.

the secular somalis have their weddings at night, usually at hotels where there is music/dancing and partying all night. i hate these night weddings cuz of the mixing of men and uncovered ladies.
