It seems they don't want to be categorized as Hawiye, unlike Sheekhaal.

Ajuuraan, Sheekhaal and Xawaadle are not genealogically Hawiye. It is just that other Hawiyes like to claim them. I would add Degodie to that group as well.

I know this issue it's very old and wasn't up to ajuran rather hawiye who refused to give them their share of seats

Just hiraab have allocated themselves half of the seats-30 mps-

Rest 30 were fought by other 'hawiyes'

Hawadle and gaaljecel had problems too. At first hawadle got 9 mps and when the list was due to be sent to the UN, hawiye-hiraab+-murursade- held a secret meeting and added one of our seats to murursade who originally had 6 seats..so we tried to join the .5 but walad Abdullah the UN envoy back then said to omar hashi in nairobi we have made hawiye equal to the rest of clans, if you join the .5 this this will change the game bc you were one of the main USC clans, I ask you to stay with hawiye to keep the balance with dir and darood

So we accepted the 8 seats hardly

As for galjecel they got 4 but their adeero garjente-from buaale- have joined the .5 and have wasiiro dawlo-see the link below-

All this group are 'hawiye' by awrku kacsi!

So the only real Hawiye is Hiraab & Murursade, who knows there could be sheegato in them. Somalis are a confederacy!!

Sheikhaal are Hiraab ( Martiile Hiraab). He is the 4th Son of Hiraab. He is a brother to Mudulood and Madarkicis and Maxamuud.

Get it. Xawaadle is Hawiye like any other Hawiye. He gets more Seats than Murusade. gaaljecel are Gugundhabe Hawiye.

They are Hawiye but the issue is that the 60 seats allocated for Hawiye was not enough and thus some Hawiye and even Darood clan classified themselves as a .5 in order to gain seats.

4.5 will come to an end by 2020

Then the stand alone clans wil be represented by their regions and we will enter alliances in the parliament according to our interests!

Martileh Hiraab = Visitors to Hiraab.

If you look at the names of the children of Hiraab, he used to name his children after the effect presiding to when they were born. Madarkicis means the rain stopped when he was born, Martiile means some visitors came when he was born, Mudulood means he was born at a place which had many huts. Sheikhaal are martiile Hiraab. He is not even the last son. Maxamuud ( Duduble) is the last son.
