"....Farta ma lagu galiyey?" means did you go to school?
Oh God I hope you're joking, really? That's a legit true saying? Lol bisinka
Yes, actually that is what it means. When the Somali language was written, it used to be called "Farta Soomaaliga". So "Farta ma lagu geliyey" was taken as did you go to school and learn "Farta Soomaaliga".
Zulaikha, how about this:
"Fartaa ku godan"

--> It means he (or) she is being suspected of committing a heinous act.
"Fartaa gaadha" ---> It means he or she gets upset so easily. Basically, someone who is bad tempered.
"Fari kama qodna" --> It means it is not over yet; the bulk of the work is remaining to be finished.
"Farta loo godey" --> It means pretend like it is much closer than it is, like it is very close when you want to give people directions. Basically, pretend like a place that is 20 miles away is like 2 miles, so people will leave you or this place and go to the other place, thinking they can easily reach there in a shorter time.
"Falaadhi gilgalasho kaa gama hadho" -->It means you can't run away from whatever act that you committed. Your past will be with you, and you simply can't deflect blame!
"Ishaad ka riday" --> It means you hit the point.
I will add more later!
