I got a question for y'all, how many of you live in Alberta? and specifically Calgary? Give me an estimate. I'm planning on moving there but I don't want to be stuck in a redneck town. I need to know where the faaraxs and Xaliimos are at.

Others Canadians can jump in too.

There are plenty of Somalis in Calgary. Avoid Deadmonton though.

Lets be honest blue.Edmonton is not a magaalo,It just sorta happened without any planning or infrastructure coz oil workers needed a motel to crash at.

I stayed in Calgary for 6 months.....i really liked it than the noisy and over crowded Toronto ,

most non-white stay at the east side, NE is dominated by asian, especially punjabi, SE is mixed,u can find all sort of immigrants.

I dont think Somalis are visible minorities there, they are scattered all around, when i was there struggled to find a somali resturanct, found only 2 in whole of Calgary .

i really want to sale my house in vancouver and move Edmonton. some Arabs i know trying to confess me, saying, the muslim community there is strong and i can make differences there. my sisters being in Ontario, me in vancouver, honestly, is not practical for me. i am just confused now.

Ramzy that's another reason to choose Edmonton we have 20 of them lol there are 4 in walking distance from my place.

Noo.Dont do that.Visit first and see for yourself.It is true they have good Muslim community lakiin waa meel tuulo ka xun.



Blue.Walahi i am not hating.I have been there few times.It definitely has improved the last couple of years but it is meel si udilana.I cant exactly pinpoint what it is.

Bro move to here! We have big Muslim community, somalis, arab, pakis all. I am sure you will love here. You could teach our Islamic school honesty, the only thing bad about here is winter. If you can handle snow and cold it's really a good place to live. Way way cheaper than the ridiculous van city.

It's cheaper now since the oil price is down. Two bedroom about a 1000. Though it depends on where you wanna rent. Could be up to 1300 Anybody who wants to work and not into drugs is very welcome to our city

2 BR for 1k$, thats cheap, no way u can get anywhere near that in Toronto. cool sxb.
