This poor woman has been imprisoned for weeks without due process. The police are asking for bribery in order to free her. Her sister has set up this GoFundMe campaign:

Somaliland does not hold people hostage , it's not a criminal entity, it's a democratic country that have its independent judiciary system. She didn't explain the reason why her sister was arrested at the first place . Somaliland have no culture of extortion. But Some criminals are charged to pay fines, and some are allowed to buy part of their prison term. This is legal.

I doubt this case exists, but if it does this person must show evidences to support her claim, legal documents showing Somaliland government stamps, or local news footage. Any person who is familiar with Somaliland security situation can hardly believe this bullshit.

According to someone that knows her, a man made up a lie against her. The guy has now retracted his story, but the woman is still in prison.

The worst thing about the case is that I see countless Isaaq women in Puntland, travelling alone or in packs and no'one harms them. Meanwhile our girls can't even visit their relatives in that region without fearing reprisal. Just goes to show.
