While he has valid points, especially on asking young minds to conform, majority of schools today are just not equipped to focus and nurture individual needs. Montessori, Khan academy and all that's good but ... systems not changing any time soon.

I'd place more importance on parents stepping in to ensure that they create that enabling environment at home which encourages kids to explore, create, challenge authority, push boundaries etc etc .... all without judgement.

One to one teaching is superior to teaching a class full of other children with varying levels of aptitude and needs.

Guys, come down! The guy isn't suggesting that one shouldn't study, or anything of that sort. His argument is about the education system, mainly the standardized tests, and how ineffective they are. He also points out how Finland has one of the best educational systems in the world, while it divorced itself from the old, decaying, test-focused education system in the rest of the world, particularly in the US.
