What is so embarrassing about what the State Department spokesman stated? It is true it is the Russian bombers who are bombing the civilian infrastructure in Aleppo. Come'n people where did the bunker busting bombs come from? The Assad air force are on a support role, and the majority of the bombing is done by Russia.

US seem more concerned those CIA, French and British intelligent that embedded with the Jihadist inside eastern Allepo would be cornered and forced to surrender ASAP.
Every time the US backed rebel jihadists are on the verge of defeat in Aleppo ,we are bombarded with talk of peace and Assad killing children and babies. We never question why the US wants to prolong this war and the suffering. Surely they must know their rebel barbarians do not have the word "peace" in their vocabulary.

At this current juncture in time the greatest threat to civilian loss are the Russian carpet bombs who have leveled a city of several hundred thousands to the ground.
