How do we know you're not the person making that thread? It was created there today and you posted it here immediately, backed by the smile you threw here, clearly shows a pattern!

Not really a valid argument. The same thing happens all over the Muslim world from Somalia to Singapore. There are people who claim Arab descent and claim to descend from the Prophet SAWS because they think it brings prestige and honour. Which is why I used the Hercules/Zeus example for the Greeks. Most Somalis have stopped believing in that nonsense now and thanks to modern science and DNA testing, it has been proven to be nothing but nonsense.X.Playa wrote:
Now I suppose you know who your fathher is and your father knows his father and so on , why assum your 18th ancestor just woke up one day and forgot who was his father and suddenly saw the Arab isxaaq and out of whims called him daddy.!! That's your logic, it's absorde.
What's with the 'most likely' and guessing game you playing at?LiquidHYDROGEN wrote:Not really a valid argument. The same thing happens all over the Muslim world from Somalia to Singapore. As for my 18th century ancestors, I doubt they are the ones who came up with the story. Most likely our earliest ancestors to accept Islam decided to hitch their genealogy to that of a famous Muslim Sheikh and from there everyone started believing it without actually investigating it's veracity. Unless you actually believe you are descendant of the Prophet, because that is what Sheikh Isaaq was?
