The idea of this war was own by Russian after they lost Egypt to NATO, Russia top general came to Mogadishu early 70s and he invitated Galaal who they know his ability which they give him a nick name and Maxamed Ali samater. They layout their plan to remove USA and NATO from middle east and Somalia been part of Warso at that time him Galaal where given a task to wage a war to Ethiopia and Somalia to claim its land, Russia promised to arm heavily arm Somalia and train 30 thousand troops which they did, this war was part of NATO Warso cold war, Galaal him self let many fronts including acting as Somalia's Western liberation front before 77 war and when Russia switched the sides it was too little too late he was already involved and was waging war.
Many Somalis thought it was Somalia who wanted to claim land back and wage the war but this wasn't the case it was broader NATO vs Warso wars.

PS they haven't uploaded the 77 war Galaal interview yet they will in valume 3. The clip ended before the war.
