Somalis are included so if you want a free genetics test get on this ASAP. The number of Somalis currently on 23andme is so small compared to other blacks so lets change that.

Do share your results when you get them. When I do a DNA relative search on 23andme the closest DNA relatives to me are Isaaq (2nd to 4th cousin) but right below them is a deluge of Harti who are in the (3rd to 4th cousin) range, fascinating!

The health results section is very interesting too, made me commit to real life changes.

Why would a somali take dna test? We're not bastards. But it's understandable for afro American but us it's useless

Majority of my top DNA relatives are SM or Gx which makes sense since my mother is Gx.While the rest are reer woqooyi and reer galbeed.I have one walanweyn relative from xarardheere which I think is a Hawiye deegan and I also have one full Masri relative.

How many of us are told we descend from Arabs? Not just that.. Quraishi Arabs.

The caveat is that you aren't eligible unless you live in the US. That excludes most of SNET.

I tried to register. They asked where granny was born, I said Ethiopia, which disqualified me. I will register with another name, email and lie both grannies were born in Somalia. Is it ok to use your Borama address?
