Did you guys or ladies ever say too your self how come i understand the somali language from your parents if they used too speak it too you or they still do, do you lot ever realised how you understand a language without learning it I mean come on how is that possible also is it possible if I can understand the Arabic language without learning it like I understand the somali language I mean come on my parents never taught me how too speak the somali language all they did was speak it too me and I understood I also picked up some phrases the reason I asked this is because I think learning language is impossible because their are always words in a language which isn't in your learning book or the memorizing bit is a bit too much for me.

What the fuck? How did ancient people learn their languages without, writing or reading? how do kids learn etc..
You learn something by hearing and saying it and using it.

The mind of a child is very good at learning languages for example my father left Ethiopia at the age of 9(to Somalia). He totally forgot Amharic untill he arrived in the west in his 20s and interacted with Xabashis, after a couple weeks his previous knowledge of Amharic had fully been restored but he forgot their writing system.
My grandfather for example never went to school to learn languages and never left the Horn.He speaks Af Somali,Amhara,Oromo,Arabic,English and Italian. All of this without textbooks or lessons but rather immersing himself with folks who speaks those languages.Intelligence does help aswell
