Problems Somalia will face, Regions or Mamul gobeleeds vs each other & the government. Article is a month ago it suggests only oil but both oil & gas have been determined to be in Somali shores by the new Seismic Data released this month.

Oil exploration in nugaal Valley will be resumed soon. Don't shoot the planes kkk. I think galaydh and the government should discuss about this.
Oil explorations should not be interrupted or karis xun iyana ku wax la, a.

Lol Yeah it's not just us u know y'all idoors where demanding them to leave too. But the planes landed in my Sub clan Omar-Wacays territory in the Nugaal, without any notice. We chased them off all the Dhulos were in uproar. That's not how it should be done. People think they are stealing their wealth. There should be consultation between our Grand Leader Ali Khalif & yours, the local people in each region that's been explored should be made aware of and consulted with the blessing of their Sultans. And there should be a Natural resource law to looks out for the interest of the nation, environment and a deal reached with the regions on how to share with the central government.
Re: Seismic Data recognize Somalia potential Gas & Oil
OIL must be kept away from Somalis period. This will lead us into the worst crisis in our history and no one will stop it. I wouldn't HSM, s/land president and any one for that matter to have access or to say.
An embago until 2050 when Hopefully we get our shit sorted and enter human dominion.

Re: Seismic Data recognize Somalia potential Gas & Oil
There is no oil in SL or Zoomalia. It's just a facade...keep dreaming folks

Re: Seismic Data recognize Somalia potential Gas & Oil
Looking at the maps where they found oil looks like government are very clever here they focused on pro government control area from Hobyo to Kismayu Its like they avoided those who are against it. I think they will fist dig ex Banadir region the two shabelle and banadir or Galgaduud / Mudug hobyo region to avoid any conflicts.PrinceNugaalHawd wrote:Problems Somalia will face, Regions or Mamul gobeleeds vs each other & the government. Sentenced to 10 years of Hard Labor in Carooley Maximum Prison.
Somalis are all crazy if we don't use our Oil & Gas now it could be worthless soon, if we don't learn to share no company would want to invest and bring the oil & gas out peacefully, they could fund wars like in west Africa and Take the natural Reources they want.
People, Companies & countries are making Billions out of this, and also nvesting in other things to make more money, and Build their nations.
and we are arguing here..

lol @ Pro Government that doesn't mean shit, If Darood was the President all those pro govt people would be anti govt and demanding no one touch their resources. There could be oil & gas in the other areas too, this is the area they concentrated on. we Somalis need a new mentality.fanaanYG wrote:Looking at the maps where they found oil looks like government are very clever here they focused on pro government control area from Hobyo to Kismayu Its like they avoided those who are against it. Re: Seismic Data recognize Somalia potential Gas & Oil
Somalis also have an abundance amount of Uranium and Gypsum. Including long coastline, 2 mighty rivers in Somalia and arable land, it's a shame that we're not self sufficient.
Re: Seismic Data recognize Somalia potential Gas & Oil

Re: Seismic Data recognize Somalia potential Gas & Oil
Abdulkadir Hussein, technical director-general in Somalia's Petroleum Ministry, said a new majority-state owned national oil company and regulatory body should be operational next year.
Initially, the state oil firm would get a free 10 percent stake in all hydrocarbon ventures.
"Later, when the company becomes established it will participate with its own money, up to a limit of 30 percent," he told Reuters.

I am not an expert on the topic by any means and granted the Somali government would not have much capital to invest in any drilling and cannot afford to insure against the risk of a dry well but...
Qatar Petroleum and affiliates own 70 percent of the two firms...
