Well for starters. Somali men are not a monolith, we are various individuals with different personalities , identities and circumstances. Whether a man is abusive or not depends on what type of person he is and the circumstances that surrounds his relationship.

Secondly if you are asking if there is a cultural driver for abusiveness. There is no such identified driver especially if you live in the diaspora. Back home there might be a sociological driver like a coping mechanism due to living in poverty.
