I am adrenaline junkie, and if I had another profession to aspire to, it would be a fighter pilot. There is a height restriction though, you can't be over 6'4" or 6'5", which disqualifies me.

Thirty years ago the Libyans were chasing the yanks all over the Med.......today they're running around the desert in technicals.
Is it any wonder the west supports Salafists from Nigeria to Afghanistan.

^ Lol, that is one way of looking at it.
But how does the West support Salafism? Aren't they on the run in Nigeria, Boka Haram; Somalia, Al-Shabab; ISIS in Iraq/Syria; Al-Qaeda/Taliban in Afghanistan/Pakistan and other places?
I am not sure why many Somalis here favor Russia (the very people/government that abandoned Somalia for Habashia, and are responsible for tens of thousands of young Somali men's deaths) over the West, in particular United States.

The aircraft carriers used by the Thais, Indians, Brazliains are refurbished Western/Russian aircraft carriers.
European countries have the ability to build their own aircraft carriers and modify them according to their needs.
The Spanish aircraft carrier is more of an amphibious assault ship hence its small flight deck.

The mig23 would have been able to handle an F14 if flown by a skilled pilot.
The poor libyans did not have skilled pilots and the soviets only exported dumbed down monkey models and kept the good stuff at home.

It was waste of money for the Arab and Muslim nations to spend money on fighter jets after 1972 war between Egypt/Syria vs Israel. They should've poured in all of that money into developing an indigenous anti-air defense infrastructure. Stupid is as stupid does.

Western fighter jets are generally more superior than Russian planes. During the Arab-Israeli conflict, the Jewish state were able to score victories against the Russian made jets.
Gegigoor, air defense missiles aren't a guarantee now with F35 and other radar evading jets coming online.
