:mindblown: do you use the term " yaah" when talking. I hate that term because reer jabuuti and fish and chips abuse it. Whenever they say yaah yaah yaah I say to they " miyaad dhago l'adahay waaxay yaah yaah du". It's waxan ku idhi NOT waxan ku yiri. Jabuuti people abuse grammar by saying " waxan ka idhi " and to most Somalis it sounds like he said it to a crowd or a group meeting.

Anyway the phrase i use a lot are:

1- ma ogtahay

2- waxan dhacay.

3- haye and haa and gartay when am tired of listening to a long Somali story. Finally I say " ka soco " . I know Somalis tend to forget that they told you the same story so next time he or she tries to tell me the same story I show them my palm and the five fingers and " waa markii shanaad ". They get the point.

Words I avoid is the iiin ee aaa these words are abused by most Somalis wtf is iin iin iin and kow dhe? A particular reer hargaysa and reer burco or reer gaalkacyo will tell you a long yarn and once you say inside " god he is about done" they would say " kow dhe" kawaaa!!!!! Are you fucken kidding me.

Am an expert on cutting a long Somali talk short, My word weapon include:

1- ka soco = don't repeat the same point.

2- hadal iyo dhamaadkii = better get to the conclusion.

3- ma dhagahaad naga kiraysaty = shut the fuck up.

4- let's say some talkative Somali calls me I answer this way " haye taada ka hadal, salaan balaa balaa he says again I repeat..taada ka hadal"
