Arabic, the mother language of all Semitic languages, including Somali!

Somali is a Cushitic language, different language family. It is related to Oromo, Beja, and Afar.

We, Somalis, have nothing to do with the cursed and destroyed Pharaohs who earned the wrath of the mighty Allah. We're the decedents of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him). I don't care what naysayers will say, I don't care. We are Semitic people and if you go 6 pages disproving it, I will not care.

The wild ass and dark-head Somali sheep are the same animals that Prophet Abraham (pbuh) and Prophet Moses (pbuh) used to use as livestock.

Our language has deep roots in Arabic, Hebrews, Aramaic, Acadian languages, and other Semitic languages. The language that the Assyrian ruler Nebuchadnezzar - the man who besieged Jerusalem and took the Jews to slavery in Babylon - has spoken is the closest language that the Somalis speak today. We recently had some of the customs that Assyrians left us such as Dab-shidka aka Nowruz. Somalis used to celebrate this custom at the beginning of the rainy Gu' (spring) season where they use to throw stuff in the fire and state, "shuushoow bax, sharow guur". This custom is celebrated in Iran, Iraq, Syria, Turkey,rest of Central Asian states, Egypt, and Horn of Africa, especially Somali territories. The followers of Zoroastrian religion celebrates it as a holiday as well!

Bottom line, we're an ancient people who had empires, manuscripts, conquered other people, and have have had trade with every empire the world has ever seen. Some of these empires, such as the Assyrian empire - controlled our territory. Until a considerable research is instituted in future Somali academic institutions when this retarded anarchy and mayhem ends, we should let this Egyptology nonsense end!
