Foreign companies racing towards somalia
I'm european bussinessman and I'm interested in somalia due to bussiness reasons as I see many companies and even some of our current rivals trying to enter into somalia.
I opened this account to only ask why? Because I was thinking hard to know what is the reason behind this. I see Turkish, Chinese and now even some European companies slowly entering Mogadishu for re-construction developement and if you asked me would your company consider entering somalia few years ago the answer would have been predictable with a capital NEVER but surprisingly this country has made huge progress despite the almost 2 and half decades of war.
They have the best payment options and services that Asia and Africa is lacking. They have made huge improved in different sectors such as building and construction, Media, Tele-communication, education, and competitive bussiness market. Where new things pop-up everyday and others will compete with them in that same branch and market.
Is it due to them having large diasporas around the world that has given them the ability to quickly rebuild and surpass other countries in the continent or just natural quality that was overshadowed by the 3-decade long war.
All in all we ourselves are trying to enter Somalia and if I could get contact with someone who could advice us would be nice and we are seeking someone who knows mogadishu very well.
Good advice would give us a short-cut and perhaps out-do our main competitors in the market. By the way it is construction.
Contact me thru PM
Sincerely:
Nicolas P.

As international business and trade expert, grown up and worked in Mogadishu, Somalia. I think I can offer a good advice relating to the question posted here about the foreign direct investment.
