People don't have a problem with Mareexaan as a qabiil. The fact that Farmaajo got elected as the President of Somalia and more importantly the way people from all corners of Somalia are celebrating his return is evidence of this. But. People still have a problem with Siyaad Barre and some of the things he did. I am sure this lady isn't the only person. How Farmaajo handles this sensitivity will be a big determining factor of his legacy.

He is not a Mareexaan President, he is the Somali President, I have faith that he will behave as such. People dont realize they signed their own death warrant by agreeing that any counter revolution after the first inqilaab is punishable bythe death penalty. People act like Siad Barre acted apone but this was agreed upon by the entire revolutionary council. It was to keep the state stable and to prevent constant coups ala Egypt, Syria etc

Somalis need to respect the law and constitution, infact Siad Barre was much too soft and gave leeway to many times. Had he had been brutal as some say he would still be in power like Mubarack or Saddam.

If her problem started with Siyaad Barre it moved to all of Daarood. She supported the tribal cleansing of Mogadishu and relegates it to a tribal fiefdom in which no one but from Abgaal should control it.

This is the mindset that destroyed and will continue to handicap Somalia. For people like her Farmaajo can do no right.
