I even heard some techniques where you quickly scan through lines and not necessarily read the words one by one. What's the point of that? I mean, it might be fun for a competition or something like that, but if you wanna enjoy the book and get the gist of the story, then reading it your speed level, the level that you're comfortable with, is the best way to go. I read the most in bed at night (I use Amazon Kindle eBook reader), and also during the weekends/holidays when I do most of my reading. If the story is very interesting I am able to read for several hours in bed non-stop. Otherwise, I read like half an hour or an hour. No rush.
