Two things that will be interesting for Farmaajo.

1: How he will deal with so called deep state in Xamar. Criminal networks that have benefited from no gov and thrived under corrupt gov. A functional state is threat to their illegal activities.

2: Alshabaab and Amisom. In this conflict it seems everyone benefit besides the somali population and SNA. How he deals with this issue will be very important.. I wish him good luck because he will need it. Truthfully Somalis are hard to manage and they seem to have great love for injustice as long as their clan benefits. Its crucial times but I have great hope in Farmaajo

what makes u think farmaajo can defeat shabaab or can put his chin up against mr d i c k . what vision does he have to that what is his strategy.

1. Even in the West corruption runs deep. At this point corruption is part of life and the culture in Somalia. Getting rid of corruption is like getting rid of khat or qabil never going to happen. And it's not going to happen within his first term. And it's not going happen while he holds a dual citizenship along with his appointees.

2. Bluster false confidence and bravado is not going to defeat Al shabaab. Wishful thinking, denial, and delusion like his predecessors is also not going to defeat Al shabaab. And foreigners that benefit from perpetual war is not going to defeat them. Only thing Farmaajo can do is compromise, power share or fold them into the military forces. Carrot and stick policy is needed with Al shabaab. As long as Farmaajo deviates from the inept policy of previous leadership he will find success insha'allah. Good luck to him
