The lack of any functional government, whether at the Federal level or regional, merely compounds this problem. The rest of the world suffers from aid fatigue. For SSC, the challenge is even worse, because in international jargon, it's disputed territory. It's peripheral to both the central state and claimant administrations and the claimants, both Puntland and Somaliland, will naturally concentrate on their core areas in times of crisis. This is why it's vital that this region becomes an autonomous federal region, because as long as it is tied to any of the other bordering regions, it remains peripheral in all senses. That is why the idea of Khaatumo, albeit currently mishandled by its poor leadership, is vital to the survival and prosperity of the Dhulbahante in the future.

As for you, I agree with Nugaal, stop the calaacal and do something to help your people back home. I know hundreds of individuals and organisations have mobilised and are contributing to alleviate the suffering of their people in SSC, despite the political challenges the Dhulbahante face as a people.
