House of Guurti bold decision...

Guys, lets all take a moment to celebrate the momentous decision by the Guurti. Despite their many short comings, I still believe they have such an important role in our politics.

This week, the Guurti not only did they approve the extension of term as agreed by the 3 political parties and recommended by the National Electoral Committe, but they went further, they pushed the election of the President 2 months than was requested by the government. And at the same time, they pushed the election for local and parliamentary elections even further out.

This decision completely is the opposite of what the so called Donor community was asking the house to do. The Donor community unanimously tried to bully Somaliland into bringing the Presidential elections forward like in June or July and the Parliament in Aug or Sep this year.

I reckon the Guurti's decision is a bold move and a message to the Donor community that they do not have a role in determining when we hold elections. They can advice and support by means of providing technical resources or cash, but certainly they cannot influence and dictate to us when to hold elections. F*ck them, do they think we Zoomaalia? I mean they rule Mogadishu like its 18 century colonial times. Not here, never here.

Somaliland has done this by sticking the big finger to the US during the 1990s and UNSOM's Petros Petros Ghali. Ina Egal did it again in 2000 when he ousted the UN SG Represtative and told him "You are not welcome" Persona non grata.

Whats so bold about extending your welfare cheques? These old bitches been doing this fir the last quarter century. They never missed an opportunity to extend the term of every government and thier own term to.

Gurti is the condom that is used by every corrupt ruling party to screw SL from cigaal to Siilaanyo 25 years proudly serving SL by f-king it in the butt.

Postponing the election due to the draught and then holding election next December which is the dry season again is luxurious.

Anybody who thinks these old farts are doing us a favor is an idiot. These guys have been sitting in these offices for 25 years. They don't do any work nor hold the government accountable they are bribed and used by every new president. When they extended the term for Riyaale twice they used a clause " lack of peace" there was no war. They have consistently brought us to the brinks of civil war many times.

These guys have to go we dont need a House Of Lords.

The guurti is the only government branch that's not accountable to any one and they are the least educated. They should be resolved or accept to put their neck on the table, they can't avoid selection for ever , we need to upgrade this house and replace these illiterate folks. Totally agree with Dr X
