If Siad Barre didn't go to war in 1977, his son very well might be the current President of Somalia right now.

They call him dictator. They call him butcher. They say his evil and a despicable human being. Yet somehow Allah love this man. Allah sees the hypocrites (Assad's critics) and HE doesn't take kindly to the heated language of Righteous indignation.

We shouldn't concern ourselves with Arab politics, but if you do, at least be on the side of Haq! Assad's cause. A holy cause.

Death Arab (muslims) privilege. Death to the red-necks of the Ummah. ..Arabs!

Because Syria conflict is just like ours!!. Barre was paranoid of his army. If anything 77 war actually prolonged his regime.

Not really the same

Siad Barre bankrupt his regime by going to war and ditching the Soviets

If he kept being a good Soviet client, his regime apparatus would have expanded.

Maybe Somalis overthrow his family in 2011 instead of 1991

If Barre won the 1977 war, rebellion would have never existed in Somalia.

1977 was a watershed.

He wouldn't, in 1983 Ciidanka Xooga dalka qyebta 21 let by mareexaan kill reer miyi HG saleebaan xoolo dhaqato 3 men and two woman. This was what toppled Siyad bares government, going red light a clan that fought others for Qeyd " just tiny peace of clothes" imagine killing one of them how they will re act, that killing caused Siyar bare regime an army struggle that toppled him.

In breif Siyaad bare offer them magdhow after the killing of xoolo dhaqato they refused, he told the elders if you refuse we will do what we done to MJ and send 21 guuto to disarm them same year 1983, that buttle HG saleebaan killed many including the generals who where leading, bare couldnot believe and 1984 to 85 Siyaad bare lost cadaado Godinlabe, and most of saleebaan deegaan it was no men's land. When Siyaadbare when to hargeysa via road he fly from Dhuusamareeb to Gaalcakyo to continue his journey Cawke AUN documented the whole trip it's Recoded History, having lost the lands between Gaalcakyo and Dhuusamareeb he bare turned Sacad against MJ in gaalkacyo and Saleebaan rebelled Ceyr lands in Dhuusamareeb now HG united what we saw after that is the birth of USC Hawiye movement

I definitely think there is something fishy about this whole situation. How does a guy having everything going for him turn around and use chemical weapons? But why did he wait so long to deny it? Only after the Russians made clear their backing and started to deny it themselves?
