BREAKING: Turkish Airlines delegation, construction arrive

Post by AwRastaale »

High delegation from the Turkish Airlines and affiliated construction company and other officials have just arrived in Hargeisa.

Turkish Airlines signed the deal already and will start flights.

The company that is to manage construction of a new terminal is called Kozuva and they owned the one managing Aden Adde in Mogadishu.

Looks like the Turks learned that we tough people. They asked us to close Nile Academy school but it's still open. The Turks are now looking to fund education facilities in SL.

In my opinion UAE airlines are best for us and UAE understand our self rule unlike Turkey who are bombing Kurds on daily bases.

I believe Turkey has hidden agenda and they know UAE will make us stronger.

We need to bring Al Arabia first.

If the Turks are serious they need to help us with water infrastructures not new terminal. Our current one does wonders even though we need bigger facility for the growing airport but we have Kuwait.

Turkiye and UAE, But what I know so far the UAE won our hearts, I am not sure what Turkish can offer for Somaliland, indeed a new terminal airport will not do the job. UAE are investing $2.5b in Somaliland right now.

Hargeisa needs the airport to expand, we will be the fastest growing nation in the horn and gulf of aden now that Yemen is in a war.

We need to take the opportunity we are given.
Good achievement for Somaliland people and and Hargeisa now the airport road is finished.

We can't rely on livestock , we need infrastructure to help diversify our economy

So naive... The Turks are exploiters... monopolised all Mogadishu assets including port, airport, flights, hospitals so they can suck them dry.

Somaliland should not trust the Turks. They have consistently shown they are against Somaliland development, independent and economic growth.

The Turkish are naturally anti Somaliland because of Turkish Kurdistan

So do I.

Seems like Turks finally saw the light in Somaliland, but it's too late, now they can stick to Bombdishu. I am sure they will regret it later once 'AS' Bombs all thier investments in Bombdishu .

Long live UAE, Long live Ala Zayed.

Turkish airlines flies to Mogadishu but not Somaliland airports. But Somaliland is safer and has just as many passengers if not more than Mog. This shows you it is a political decision.

But the Turks lost their man in Mogadishu (HSM and his groupies). Farmaajo & Hassan Kha'in are closer to Kenya/Norway/UK. So now the Turks are desperate and hedging their position. Watch Turkish Airlines will start flying to Boosaaso next.

Somaliland gov is right to exploit this new position, but they have to be careful with these Turkish snakes

Don't trust the Turks. They are not interested the betterment of SL but they just want to confuse things like they have done in Syria, Europe and even with the Russians.

They just want to bait us.

The minister did the right thing by taking what the construction firm has to offer into consideration but putting the Turkish Airlines on the back bench.

That means he will study things and go over with FlyDubai and UAE.

If they feel their business is not going to be squeezed by Turkish, they may get approvals.

Turkey bombs the Kurds mercilessly and so we cannot ignore that.

UAE on the other hand all Emirate states operate autonomously and understands better why we need our affairs in our own hands.

Turkey had many chances.

Not wanted right now. If they can build a better terminal than Adden Adde's boring glass and steel skeleton it will be welcomed but Turkish Airlines is not needed.

Let's welcome Al Arabia from our Sharjah friends instead and keep the Emirate family together.

We grateful to Kuwait who made it all possible.

Turkey needs to pay SL admins a couple of dollars and a bag of khat and they will be able to build the terminal and bring their airline.

Investment and geopolitics is one thing. All I know is that I have been to Turkey for work on numerous ocations and what I have found is that the Turks are the nicest and most welcoming people I have ever met.

I met a few Somali's who are in Turkey (tahreeb transit). They tell me that if they are Somali they are not imprisoned and deported. They are treated well because they are Somali.

Right now I am working in the UAE and the emirates are nice enough but do not come close to the Turks. I have lived with the Turkish Kurds in North London and they should not be confused with the Sunni Kurds of Iraq. They are the most vile racist cunts you could ever meet.

Like I said when it comes to whats economically and geopolitically good for Somaliland right now I would work closer with the Emirates because there is more scope and leverage for us than with the Turks.

However I would much rather break bread with a Turk than an Arab. An Arab is a snake now and always. Turks have honour.
