You don't need to be genius to know this security plan was enforced by our neighbors Ethiopia and Kenya. That's the reason that they are attending London conference.

If they can train, equip and maintain 20,000 Somali troops with pay, that would be enough to secure short term victory and would be sufficient in fighting Al shabab. They wouldn't effective in fending off against external, regional forces

Sounds good but I think it won't happen. And why is the programme starting June 7?

Realistically that is a good figure, we need to remember that the government doesn't have the financial capabilities to support very large army at this time. So this figure is more realistic, besides the importance is not mainly the size of the army but the quality. I welcome this security plan and the security council declared by the president. May Allah support them

You are right guys inshallah we will do better in future plus always the small size(quantity) of army can be compensated by high quality units and divisions. And Somalis have this warrior spirit.
