Breast-Feeding protects from Diabetes
Masha-Allah, this is a blessing our mothers took advantage of unlike the new Xaliimo who is more focused on where her nipples would point after suckling
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CHICAGO - Breast-feeding is thought to protect babies from developing diabetes. Now research suggests it might even help keep their mothers from getting the disease, too. A study found that the longer women nursed, the lower their risks of developing diabetes.
The findings are far from conclusive, but the researchers say breast-feeding may change mothers' metabolism in ways that make the possible connection plausible.
These metabolic changes may help keep blood sugar levels stable and make the body more sensitive to the blood sugar-regulating hormone insulin, said Dr. Alison Stuebe, the study's lead author and a researcher at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital.
That theory is partly based on evidence in rats and humans showing that breast-feeding mothers had lower blood-sugar levels than those who did not breast-feed

Really? I thought diabetes was caused by the body being unable to produce its own insulin to to brake down glucose? What does the mother having low blood sugar level during breastfeeding got to do with the child developing diabetes later on? Anyway, breast milk is a good source of calcium and most Somali mothers breast feed. I just don't believe this claim.

I know women whove breast fed 5+ kids and their tits are still in satisfactory condition.Aslong as you are an active person (which you will be after having a child) then the ol' boobies wont as bad as if you just slouch all day ma'aha?
Anyways when is Kola Boof expecting your bundle of joy?
