I understand if SL gave away some of its share to Ethiopia to lure them away from Djibouti, but whats in it for the DP world? they already own Djibouti port and won't start competing with themselves.

kanadiid it could be the DP world wants berbera to be the main port in the region and will slowly abandon Djibouti.

If Djibouti didnt forfeit its rights and it didnt give out even 1% to Ethiopia.What does it twll you about the sambusa colony?

dp is thinking in the long run 2022 their contract terminates with djibouti the 20 year contract lease dp wants berbera to be the main port for ethiopia in the long run so they gave ethiopia sonething back.

It is not 19%. It is 19% of the 65% UAE share which comes to 10.4%.
