The Anti-Federalism Camp

Post by HashIII »

What did exactly did Gaas say that was so unacceptable? I won't say that I am surprised by the response he has received

In the video, Gaas even shows his admiration for the idea of thriving Federal States being forced to share some of their resources of other struggling states.

I am simply trying to confirm whether or not you guys are simply using anti-Federalism as a guise for your prejudices. I want those that think Federalism is completely unacceptable to propose a system of governance, that resembles neither the central government of the Barre admin (a government that is repudiated by this camp), nor the decentralised Federal system we have today. Do not comment without making a suggestion.

You cannot compare Ethiopia with over 80 different ethnic groups and Somalia with only 1 ethnic group.

I realised I ought to make some clarifying remarks.

I do believe that the presidents of the federal states should be more like governors. They undergo a change of name, and should have the powers curbs, especially the ability to negotiate with foreign nations.

I am asking those that have opposition to the system of idea of having federal states, to those that refer to the federal sates as clan states. What kind of system are you guys asking for?

Change the ''president'' position with ''governor'' position, federalism can work in Somalia but not based on the one Ethiopia has.

I myself am against federalism because somalis does not know the meaning of it, but its too late to dismantle it so change the madaxweynes with gudoomiye gobol and stop playing and abusing the name ''madaxweyne'' .

Waa billahi tawfiiq.

When somalis speak about federalism they always likes to mention Ethiopian based federalism.
There is nothing wrong with the Ethiopian federalism but Somalia can never adopt the federalism Ethiopia has... that is out of the picture.
Ethiopia is over 100 million in population with 80 different ethnics with 80 different languages, come on sxb Somalia has 12 million people with one language and culture, one religion.

Clan based federalism uma sahlana Somalia sababta oo ah dagaal beeled waligeed joogsan mayso, anaa madaxweyne ah iyo madaxweyne i dhaha waa wixii somalii 30 sanadood lug'gooyey.

Sharafta magaca ''madaxweyne'' yaan lagu ciyaarin ee kii gobol madax ka noqanaya gudoomiye goboleed ha isu bixiyo, oo ha ixtiraamo madaxweynaha dalka.

If we are going to use federalism somalis must come with their own type of federal system, not the ethiopian or kenyan one because they have different ethnic groups within their country.

Federal states should have no defense force, just police, the president should be called Gudomiye Mamul Gobaleed, Foriegn affairs na haa uga Dambeyan the Fedaral Govt. Every state should pay a local tax, State tax & Fedaral tax.

The worst part about this banner is the idea that they thought the Somali people whom they have collectively pissed off (Benadir, South-west, Galmudug, Khaatumo, Somaliland) would somehow have voted for them in a one-man-one vote system if implemented.

That's the most mind-boggling part and the greatest delusion of grandeur about this whole charade not to forget that the one-man-one-vote system wasn't even implemented in P/land itself since 1998, they wouldn't even win in P/land in a one-man-one vote much less the rest of the country.

They know this and hence the whole idea behind this charade was a political dead-lock and turmoil for the country reviving qabiilism to destroy the little improvements that were made and plunder us back to the dark ages, the abysmal return to the gutter status quo were this group of elites profited like crazy before.

That was the whole plan/idea behind this shameless charade hence when that repeatedly failed over the last decade and now even the qabiil daroodism card was taken from them by Farmaajo, the fat tub of lard had no choice but to show his true colours and that which the bakhti had always hidden in his chest.
