Garguurte was a short sighted leader. He shouldn't have cut ties with Iran and made a deal with KSA unless the UAE began supporting the central government's authority. He also gave them prime real estate on the waterfront of Xamar

Let us see if the Saudis will send the financial aid that they promised after this statement of neutrality. If nothing comes, relations with Iran should be restored along with a statement of neutrality on the Yemen civil war

Sahal this will not happen for many reasons. The recognition of SL must and will only be granted if Mogadishu agrees. It will require a South Sudan kind of referendum. Eritrea was not granted independence until they captured ADDIS and got Zenawis blessing.

No Au country wants to open the door to secesssionist states like Cabinda In Angola, Casamance in Senegal, Anjoun in the Comoros, etc.

Ethiopia which claims to be SLs best friend hasn't and they have been given 19% share of the Berbera port deal

It's highly unlikely that ictiraaf is coming for SL, but i hope what sahal says is true. Can't wait to see if SL becomes another useless Djibouti or Rwanda like country.

I bet if they bribed the Somali government with Khat, Ictiraaf would happen a lot sooner than anyone thinks.
